Secret Twins
Chapter One

It was a few days before Christmas and everybody at U.Z.Z. couldn't wait for Christmas Eve. At Christmas Eve was the big U.Z.Z. Christmas Ball and almost everybody had a partner to go with. Almost everybody had a partner. Victor and Anita both didn't have a partner to go with and they knew it from each other, but they were both too scared to ask the other one to go to the party.

The daily morning briefing was just finished and Victor and Anita walked away from the Briefing Room. It seemed to be just another working day, a quiet working day. It was the same every year. It looked like every bad guy took the days off around the holidays. It seemed like every bad guy just disappeared for a week or so. Nobody really mind that there weren't much attacks around these days, because the agents had their own problems. Finding the right recipe, finding the perfect gifts and all the stress everybody felt before Christmas Day.

Victor looked to Anita. She was quiet, a little bit too quiet to his likings. He asked her about it, but she didn't want to talk about it. "I just can't wait until it's finally Christmas."

"Yes."

The lack of any more words in her answer made Victor worry some more. He knew that she didn't have any family left; her parents disappeared when she was young. But he had still no idea why she would be so distant, and that while it was the season the be joyful.

But when she passed the Training Room, Victor knew for sure things weren't right. "Anita!"

Anita looked up and sighed. They were supposed to train their karate skills at the Training Room and now she passed it. "Sorry, I was just thinking."

Victor looked to Anita. He just knew there was something wrong with her, but he couldn't quite figure out what. "Anita, are you sure that you're alright?"

"Why wouldn't I be? Let's just go to training, okay?"

Victor nodded, being a little bit surprised that he got a reponse like that from her. He walked after her into the Training Room, figuring that he would find out about Anita's problem soon.

And after a long time of karate practice, Victor and Anita sat down onto the bleachers. Even though they've done that for some time, it could be still exhausting.

But still, Victor didn't know what was wrong with Anita. He tried to talk to her about it between the fights, but she didn't want to say a thing. "I'm glad Professor Professor didn't call me. I'm not in the mood to of any tests today." But he spoke too soon. His communicator started to ring. "Speaking of the devil..."

"Ah, Victor Volt. I need you in my lab."

"I'll be right there, Professor. I'm sorry Anita, but you'll have to go on without me."

Anita gave him a flash of her sweetest smile before he would walk away. Once he was gone, she sighed and stood up. She wondered how long it would take before she would know if Victor loved her the way she loved him. Anita shook her head as if she could clear it this way and decided to calm her nerves down in one way she knew it would always calm her down; practicing karate.

And while Anita was thinking about her relationship with Victor, walked the man she loved into the lab of U.Z.Z. Professor Professor was always busy making something dangerous, except for now...

Victor walked towards the small, green haired professor and smiled when he noticed what Professor Professor was working on. It was a small, wooden box, with a hidden surprise. "So, how is it going, Professor Professor?"

"Wonderbar! It will be finished within a few days."

Professor Professor was helping Victor with his special Christmas gift for Anita. The professor was more than glad to help the young agent, since he had learned that Victor loved Anita. He stepped aside, so Victor could check his gift.

Victor picked up the box and he lifted the lit. When he opened the box, a holographic picture appeared. It was a man and a woman. The man was wearing a dark-blue suit and had light-brown hair. The woman was wearing a dark-purple, strapless dress and had strawberry-blond hair. These two young people had to assemble Victor and Anita. All what Victor wanted were two figurines which looked like him and Anita and which would start to dance when you opened the little music box, but apparently wanted Professor Professor to add something more. So now, in stead of two small figurines, it was a holographic couple that danced on the music.

And Victor loved it to bits. He closed the lit and looked to the professor. "It is truly beautiful, Professor Professor. I can't wait to see Anita's face when she sees this."

Professor Professor smiled. "Well, all I need to do is to add the music and some adjustments and it will be ready before Christmas Eve."

The Secret Agent shook the professor's hand before he would leave the lab once again. "Thank you for helping me, Professor Professor! I owe you one."

Victor could hear a faint 'you're welcome' when he closed the door behind him. He just couldn't wait to show Anita his gift for her.

Anita sighed. She did some practice, but she was getting tired now. Besides, it wasn't real fun to practice on your own. While she looked to the clock, she started to wonder what took Victor so long. Normally he would be back in no time after testing one of Professor Professor's dangerous devices.

Anita looked to her water bottle. She got a little bit thirsty during her practice and she figured she could better refill the bottle for when Victor would be back and wanted to do some more practice. So, she walked out of the Training Room and to the locker room. The locker-rooms of U.Z.Z. were unisex and it wasn't such a big deal. The only things there were the lockers of a lot of U.Z.Z. agents. And when you needed to change clothes or take a shower, there were a few private showers at the end of the locker-room.

Anita just filled her bottle and decided to go back to the Training Room, when suddenly Victor appeared in front of her. "Victor!" With a scream, she let her bottle fall. She groaned when she grabbed her bottle again. "Victor, how many times did I tell you not to sneak up at me like that! And why aren't you wearing your suit?"

"Anita?"

Suddenly, a second Victor appeared. Anita didn't know what to think now. The Victor who had scared her was wearing civilian clothes. But the Victor who stood next to the other Victor, was wearing his U.Z.Z. suit. She looked to both men. "What's going on around here? Did Professor Professor tested a clone-machine on you?"

The Victor in the civilian clothes looked to the other. "You didn't tell her?"

Victor in U.Z.Z. suit walked closer to Anita. "Professor Professor didn't do that. Anita, there is something I have never told you before. This is Vincent and he is my identical twin brother."
