Jeez, I don't go on dA for a few days, and things change around here.
At this moment, I don't feel well and I've been at home the whole day *boring* Before you ask, no I didn't finish the next chapter, but I got a little bit futher than before.
We don't have a Christmas tree yet, because they are all too expensive according to my bf, so we have to wait some times.
What did I do those times? Working, voluntary work, getting back in touch with people from my old study and more work. And gifts. The few last weeks, Holland had some extra gifts to give. On Dec. 5th, we celebrate Sinterklaas. (more about the guy found here:
So, I got some gifts too I got a rendeer whose neck can be enlarged (So it's like a giraff-rendeer...) It's cute ^^ I got some scratch-advent-calendar, a LED-candle (it changes light when you lit it up) and some more little stuff.
But about the title of my journal.
I did some thinking the last weeks and I decided to make a bucket list. I thought "Why not?" Things I always wanted to do or see or something like that. I got my life ahead of me, so I have some long time to do these things.
Here it is:
1. Get married to the man I love (plan in progress )
2. See 'War of the Worlds'-musical live with Jeff Wayne. (too expensive at this point in my life)
3. See the biggest movies from Tom Hanks (he's exactly 30 years older than me ) (I've seen the Green Mile, Cast Away, the movies from Dan Brown and a few others already. But I don't think all of them)
4. See the biggest movies with Morgan Freeman (He's such a good actor and yes, I've seen the Bucket List, needed a lot of tissues)
5. Meet Stan Lee in person (I know I have to hurry since he isn't the youngest anymore)
6. Go to America
Go to the Smithsonion
Go to the Kennedy Space Center
See the Space Shuttle for real
7. Be a voice actor (just because it can)
8. Get something published (either a book or a poetry book)
9. Get some serious money (again, just because it can)
10. Getting back the job I dearly love: being a guide for a space museum (or a comic museum, I think I would love that too)
11. Go to Athens
12. Drive an old car (like a VW beetle or an old Ford)
That's all I have at the moment, maybe more later.

Sinterklaas and Santa Claus Can you hear the difference?) So that meant the Dutch people and especially kids can get more gifts, it depends if families do exchange gifts with Christmas or not. (My family for instance didn't do that, because it wasn't really a Dutch thing back then)
Here in Holland, we have some kind of 'extra' holiday. It's on the evening of the 5th December and it's called ' Pakjesavond' (giftsnight). This is part of a huge holiday which starts at the 14th of November, when Sinterklaas enters The Netherlands. This holiday has everything to with a man called 'Sinterklaas'.
Sinterklaas is an old man, with a white beard, a long red cape, wears a white bishop's dress and red mitre, a bishop's hat and holds a crosier (a long gold coloured staff with a fancy curled top) He carries a big book that tells whether each kid has been good or naughty in the past year. He traditionally rides a white horse, which is called 'Amerigo'.
Maybe this man reminds you of somebody and when you're thinking about Santa Clause, you're absolutely right. I'm not going into detail here, but as far as I'm concerned is that Santa Claus comes from Sinterklaas, although they are both considered as based on a Saint called Nicholas of Myra.

My life...
I think I'll start doing yearly journal updates now. I try to go to dA more often, but somehow, it's slips my mind to do so. So, how's life for me? It's actually not that exciting. Of course, things do happen, but ever since I got a good job, I don't even have the time to do exciting stuff. I still have the same job I had since 3,5 years. (almost 4) I love my team, I love my work and it pays alright. Every now and then I get the chance to do something along side my main job. Last year, it was making the schedules for my colleagues (and they loved me for it to be honest) I learned to take my credits, as you can see. Nowadays, I help out on the event side. A temp job, but it was a nice way to see if I liked to do it and if I might want to persue this side of coorperation. (not very sure yet) My marriage is going well. Married for 5 years now and still growing strong. We have a son of 2 years now and that's going okay as well. That's actually it... My hobbies... Well... I do write
New project
A few years ago, I posted a two-parted story on dA of my other passion. Suske & Wiske albums have been a passion of mine since I was a young girl. And I still love their stories. Seven years ago, I started a project in Dutch on blogger and now I decided to place it here as well. I didn't have much time those last years to write on both TSS and Suske & Wiske, but I still love to write, both in Dutch and English. Like said before, I will not abandon my The Secret Show projects, but I notice that life is taking a toll on my hobbies. Just now, I have the feeling that I can do things again that I did before. Still a little bit tired of stuff, things are going the right way. I finally have some energy to finish my newest version of I'm here for you and I am working up the energy to start a new TSS project. But in the maintime, I want to post my other project as well. It will stay in Dutch, but it will give me an oppertunity to update the stories I have posted online all those last
DnD Character
I Am A: Neutral Good Human Rogue (5th Level) Ability Scores: Strength-13 Dexterity-15 Constitution-15 Intelligence-14 Wisdom-16 Charisma-12 Alignment:Neutral Good A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable. Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like. Class: Rogues have little in common with each other. While some - maybe even the majority - are stealthy thieves, many serve as scouts, spies
My life
It has been a year since the last time I even logged in. There is basically no time for dA right now. I'm nog going to say that my life is difficult, I think it's going okay. And calling this life difficult doesn't feel right. At this moment, I've been married for 4 years (at the end of this year 5), turned 30 last year and have a boy of the age of 1 year now. I have a wonderful job with wonderful people. I really, really, really can't complain. I love my coworkers, more about them later. First relationship. My hubby and I are together for almost 9 years now. Hitting that 10 year mark next year!!!! Time flies! Asked me to marry him on Dec. 27th in 2015, got married at Oct. 6th 2017 (Easy to remember) With the relationship comes the question of kids. We wanted, he more than me, and at the 24th of Dec. 2020 we got one, Owen. He is cute and charming. But I am not going to lie! It is hard sometimes! I know I'm not mentally made to be a stay-at-home mom. I just need to do something
